I stubbornly never will not finish a book, but halfway through this one probably won't. Don't care about any of the characters. Yes, stupid baseless wars are endless, humans are frivolous, vain, stupid, often cruel, but the way it's presented here not particularly interesting. The occasional magical, fantastic stuff simply silly and distracting, pointless, superficial. Nothing really human explained, developed in a substantial way. Occasionally clever observations, but far too seldom. Tedious, annoying
