Solasta is simultaneously more and less polished than Baulder’s Gate 3. It’s small team, indie roots show in places like cut scenes, voice acting, graphics, etc. BUT … and this is a big but … it has the most polished tactical combat I’ve ever experienced. It’s SO intuitive, in fact, that I wonder if some people won’t find it simplistic. I didn’t. I think it’s just great design. Overall Solasta replicates the experience of playing D&D better than any game I’ve ever come across, dice rolls and all. The foundation is there for this game to continue to get better and better. It needs more polish but it crucially gets all the things that matter right.
