Rise of skywalker has to be the second most disappointing star wars film they've made. My main problem with this film comes from the ending, I have a few questions for whoever wrote the story. Since when did X-Wing lasers peirce star destroyer armour? Did you ever make a final decision on how many star destroyers were on exagol? Because the final hour of this film is so horrifically written its laughable. Who in their right mind thought that the rebels could take out that many star destroyers all of which were equipped with hundreds of Tie fighters. The imperials have essentially been weakened substantially by the writers which has never been the case in star wars. The entirety of star Wars has always followed the same concept that the imperial forces are a formidable fighting force and the rebels, rather than being more powerful, instead are more intelligent and come up with daring plans against the odds but crucially are still plausible. Rise of sky walker completely breaks this concept and instead makes the imperial navy look disgustingly week when clearly they weren't seen as how they had hundreds of star destroyers on exagol. So to some my point up, the writers have valued visual pleasure more than they have written pleasure. So by trying to create huge scenes with hundreds of ships, theyve shot themselves in the foot and instead made an emotionless, laughable scene thats story could never have been pulled off.
