Tough one to watch... this could be any civilized society and having gone through custody issues following divorce myself, its quite poignant. well acted and hope to see more from this director in the future

Flat out great series and I was sorry to see it end! As a "fly on the wall" we see (melo)drama, comedy, tragedy and all the elements we as humans share. Shtisel's mom watching an American soap opera while her family is literally one was one of the more ironic scenes. More please!

loved it! thanks to Netflix for Unorthodox and Shtisel which provide a window into on orthodox Jewish community (there are numerous). In my neighborhood, I see Orthodox walking to shabat every week and wonder what this life is like and both of these shows shine a light (a positive one I think) so that those not of the faith can see that these are people w/ the same difficulties in life we all experience. try it you'll like it!
