The acting was incredible by Rock Hudson, Elizabeth Taylor and James Dean. Their acting was timely and would have resonated with audiences today. It was fun to see Dennis Hopper as “the son” and this was the film he did soon after he graduated high school with my Dad (yes they were buddies with same birthdays). The Director was smart to cast young actors 22-30 to age to over a half a century instead of the other way around. Funny to know Rock Hudson and James Dean did not like each other off set like their characters. In fact when James was killed in an accident, Rock wept for days admitting he had wished him dead and how it was wrong of him.
