He and his partner bought a $25 million home here in a watershed area, then promptly tore out 200 trees! That’s where Honolulu gets its drinking water. Rain fills the aquifers in these areas, after Chamberlain’s devastation of trees and roots, it became a mudslide area wiping out drinking water to a majority of our city. He was HATED so much that he and his partner moved to Beverly Hills. He never apologized and was given a fine. He should have gone to Oahu prison. But he was wealthy, white and privileged! He has an ego the size of the Pacific Ocean. The series was disgusting! How many deaths for gawd’s sake! There wasn’t even one likable character…well the good ones were killed off. And Father Ralph telling Meggy about her periods? In the book Father Di Brissicard? sends her to a woman to explain her healthcare. Yuck!

This investigation using the secret service agents and administration in one on one interviews was very eye opening. Even while spending millions on guarding Trump and his adult children (and even Trump Tower when he and his wife and child weren’t there) Trump as president refused to budget them more money. Basically agents are promoted using loyalty and friendship which doesn’t lead to good leadership. From Lincoln’s assassination to attempts on every POTUS and their families is terrifying. Most of the agents are patriotic good citizens but are damaged by politicizing and inadequate leadership. They need more money, agents, tech services and guidance from congress on guidelines for protection. They not only have to deal with drastically different egos (anyone who runs for POTUS has to have a massive ego) but their personal problems…Bill Clinton and his lifelong philandering, Trump wanting protection of all his golf clubs (including in Europe) and locking his bedroom doors which made it impossible to protect him. I was both proud of these agents and sad how they were not protected by their agency and politics. Great page turning read!
