In the Last of Us part 1, Ellie was singlehandedly the best written gay character in video game history. I was so excited to see how she would be portrayed now that she is older, with a deeper relationship with Joel. This game throws out all of the interpersonal complexity of all the characters you've grown to love and instead gives you a canned revenge plot with ZERO character development.
Revenge Bad. Ellie can't play guitar.
