I never really write reviews but i felt like i needed to with this show. First of all the story is amazing. It gave off such a magical and narnia type vibe to it. And it really had me wanting to go to the next episode right away. But there was also many flaws to this shows. The one that bothered me the most was the acting. Especially the actress who played Kinsey. I know acting isnt the easiest and especially some of those scenes are hard to pull off. But some scenes she sounded like she was reading in front of a class. It really bothered me after a while. But there were some scenes where she was decent in. There were also alot of cringey acting scenes with other characters, but they werent so bad that they made it unwatchable. Another flaw I noticed was the overly stereotypical teenage characters. The “angsty” teen vibe that Kinsey had in the beginning was very very stereotypical and same goes with Tylers character, it was really predictable especially the party scene. I feel like there could've been more spice to the teenage part of it? Or maybe something more out of the ordinary. But it wasnt completely bad just very predictable. The show definitely was something i would come back for a season 2 for. Despite the flaws it was really interesting. Especially the special fx, they were actually very good. The plot twists in this show also completely caught me off guard which is something i love in shows. So in conclusion I would definitely recommend this show to my fellow fantasy/mystery lovers.
