Jesus was tempted by Satan in the desert (read Matthew, Mark, Luke) before He began His 3 year ministry, but He NEVER sinned even once his entire life, even when dying on the cross while enduring the full Wrath of God for OUR sins! Yes, for everyone who ever lived and ever will live!. In fact He asked God, the Father, to forgive them (the Romans who hung him) 'for they know not what they do'. God allowed his death because through the death and resurrection of His Son on the 3rd day, eternal salvation could be had by anyone if they would repent of their sins and turn to Christ.
Jesus can carry our sins because He never knew sin and because He is God in the flesh (He is One with the Father).
The sin of man was NOT passed to Him through birth from His mother, Mary, because sin is passed by the human father to his children, not the mother. Since Mary was a virgin when she gave birth to Jesus, no sin was passed. An angel told her that she found favor with God and He made her pregnant through a miracle. And that the Child would be the Savior of her people (the savior of all people), the promised Messiah prophesied in the Old Testament. See, Christianity is not a newer religion like so many think. It is a new Covenant between God and Man!
Jesus is the Word, and always has been with God and the Jews through the ages! He is the physical personification of the One True Living God! It was Christ who walked in the Garden of Eden and who judged Adam and Eve after they ate of the forbidden fruit.
Jesus is the "Word of God" that became flesh to fulfill what was promised of God. God created the Universe through Jesus because He spoke it into existence! It is by His Word (through Christ) that He created all things.
