This book was lovely and horrifying at the same time, and one of those rare books that I could not put down. David Crow's descriptions of his childhood, with it's violence, chaos, and unpredictability, were often painful to read. But, in the end, it was his triumph in the face of incredibly long odds that I will continue to carry with me long after I have put the book down.
