As an avid reader I can tell you that this book is poorly written. It was slapped together and for someone with multiple degrees, there were more grammatical errors than I could count and way too many run-on sentences. It shocks me that this woman calls herself an author. First, the book is written about Anne Louise Apodaca, however, in the prologue of the book she refers to her as Ms. Abodaca. Who misspells the name of the main character? Her mother’s name, Frizelle Aguilar, is referred to at various times as Ms. Agular. Secondly, she barely gives background and supporting information before she moves onto a new chapter of which there are 79 in a book that’s only 144 pages. Lastly, most of the chapters seemed to just be her repeating information directly from the court transcripts and newspapers. The only reason I bought this book is because I was shocked that someone had actually written about this heinous murder, a murder that I am all too familiar with as I’ve known about it my entire adult life as Frizelle Aguilar is my father’s half-sister.
