The best Star Trek content I have ever seen, and one of the best animated series I’ve seen, in general.

If you like fantasy, blood, sex, and death this is for you. If you have no imagination, don’t bother. This is a fun and witty magical story about a band of people trying to stop a tyrant from taking over. At the same time, the true tyrant (a sorcerer) struggles for control. It’s only 4 episodes and the conclusion is interesting and provokes thought. If you do not like this series you may be dull or dim witted. It’s an origin story of the Witcher, fer fux sake. Give it a chance.

I consider myself to be a man of keen intellect, as well as a decent critic of movies and series. I read Game of Thrones, as well as the others in the series a long time before they were made into an HBO production. This show is of a similar genre. If you are into Arthurian legend and are expecting this series to coincide with other stories of these legends, you will be disappointed. This is a reimagining with some of the same characters but most altered in a way that they are nothing like the original. That was a risky move. Yet they pulled it off nicely. The acting and effects are exceptional and the story is interesting.
