I feel this book has so many important messages to convey about humans and our relationship with the greater world we are part of but has missed an opportunity to get this message out there more widely. I enjoyed the book at first, getting to know the characters and thought the various threads cleverly linked together. However, what I found difficult was the way it was written. Whilst at times I appreciated the poetic style at others I really couldn't understand what the author was trying to say, struggling to understand the story in the last quarter . It is a shame that this book was not written in a way that is more accessible to a wider audience and not just the literary elite.
