It’s a nice film but it’s not Rebecca. So much of the story of the book has been changed. The characters are different, the significant plot points are different. It changes the whole concept and character’s motivations. It’s completely wrong and feels rushed. Its like pieces of the story have been stuck together and information swapped and the style of the film loses all suspense and build up. If the film had been called something different you wouldn’t have known it was based on the book.

Terrible film from the off. Vince V has no on screen chemistry with anyone. The script is either poorly written, the acting is boring or the director has given bad advice. Or it’s a combination of all of it. So much boring footage. The story line makes no sense. Unbelievable choices. It’s like a quiet man’s fantasy. Even the violent scenes are just stupid and unbelievable. I really don’t understand the reviews I’ve watched, it’s the most unrealistic, badly acted film I’ve ever watched.

This is superb. So moving and the acting is outstanding from all. The only thing is you must pay attention because the time line flits back and forth. I tried watching it whilst cooking but I had to wait until I was done and start from the beginning again. It really was worth it though.
