This show gives in depth discovery in how ancestors were born, lived, died. Unlike the Henry Louis Gates Jr show, it focuses on the facts not upon racial persecutions. Everyone has some persecution at times in their life regardless of skin color, religion, social standing. This show not only tells a mostly unbiased account. There is a paper trail to back it up. Sometimes there are also people who are still living. This goes to illuminate that whatever a persons fame or social status is. We all have our highs, lows, shame, proud accomplishments. We are all human.

At first, I wondered if it would have too much of a fairytale vibe as in Disney's - The Little Mermaid. As I watched, it became more and more interesting, now, I'm "hooked".
