This is just one of the best Historical dramas i have come across. You have politics, you have drama, romance and ambition.
For once in a lifetime this is one where there are other males considered smart, intelligent and handsome.
One man doesn't get all the praise this time. In this Drama beside Lanxi wanting to conquer the world, he loves the people. I'm happy that his rival(for once the rivalry between the males is not about the female lead and their love for her) Huang Chao is not made out to be a power hungry guy like most of the other dramas do.
Despite not having the same methods, they share their love for justice and truth and they just want to make life better for the people.
One male doesn't get to be the righteous one. Even Feng Xieyue despite not wanting to conquer the world, is a wise leader with the same love for the people of Qingzhou.
The same goes for Feng Qiwu and Feng Xiyun ( I don't know about Hua Chunran) they are great women in their own right and one doesn't get all the praise.
Though i seriously hope someone will answer this;
Why on earth are there so many Fengs.
Feng Xiyun, Feng Lanxi, Feng Chang, Feng Ju, Feng Qiwu, Feng Xieyue.
