South of Midnight is brilliant! It Harkens to the ps2 era of gaming. Still, there are next gen embelishments. A touching musical score is woven through a corresponding untouched narrative in gaming. Midnight's combat system is brutal while remaining simple enough. There are just enough combat upgrades to keep it from getting repetitive. Platforming is fun and challenging. The world and stop motion animation are breath taking. To top it all off, every single aspect in this game is customizable. So, any complaints are questionable. We would love a sequel or spin off with Senua from the Hellblade series.

Initially I was worried about Robert Pattison when the film began. As the movie progressed, it became obvious that he is supposed to be a younger Bruce Wayne who calls himself vengeance. With that being said, Pattison's performance was very organic. He really mastered Bruce Wayne's energy. Zoe Kravitz was amazing as catwoman. Loved how she embodied the year one illustrations of Selena Kyle. She delivered so much range from sultry to sneaky and furious. Even commissioner Gordan was impressive. As far as the film, it was taken very seriously and felt like a well paced love making session. It was not a corny boom fest full of unnecessary fight scenes. Every event was meticulous and well placed. I was wondering when the film would end after 2 hrs though. I enjoyed it all up until the soft finish.

Smiled the entire time. I even shed a few tears. There's never been such a tastefully done animated representation of African culture before this. The animation was much like classic Disney princess stuff. The storyline was unique and fun. Kirikou is an adorable brave little boy. My only gripe is how distasteful it is that im seeing this 22 years after it's release.
