It was a cute book! Goes to show just how much dogs love the people who treat them the best, and will do anything to remain by their side. The story between the couple brought a nice and humorous side to the book as well. The only downside is that it seemed to drag on a little. Just when I thought he found himself going down the right path and will be with his owner at any minute, he sticks around where he is a little longer, or unfortunate circumstances prevent him from going further.

It’s supposedly a book about success, but only tells you the names of people who are successful and gives a backstory and quotes (so many quotes) about them. He then goes on to talk about stories that take way too long to explain and sometimes don’t even tie into what the introduction is about (like the Korean Airline). You could skim the pages of this book and still know what’s being told. There are a few useful tips in every chapter, but that’s about it. The best thing I learned from this book is that successful people aren’t born successful, it requires skill, hard work and a lot of luck.

Doesn’t matter how old you are, everyone should read this book!

I’ve been following Goggins for more than two years now, so when I heard about this book, I dropped everything I was doing and bought it. Incredible book with an incredible story. Goggins does not hold back with his messed up life and tells you that if you’re suffering too, you can get over it by not having to feel sorry for yourself. We are in control of our own fate at the end of the day. This is a must-read for anyone who doubts their capabilities or anything about themselves!

Wasn’t bad. His idea on him feeling better when other people die was something I never read before. The love story and relationship with his boss were on the boring side, but I liked it overall.

It’s a book about a scientist who dives into the world of Buddhism and enjoys it. He takes a scientific approach to the religion and goes way off the deep end. Was not expecting that kind of story, but some of his realizations were good to know!

This book never made me like the main character. I grew frustrated with her over time, and just when it seemed like she would have that coming-of-age, she goes right back into her shell. The story was great otherwise, but she was the only problem I had with it.

Loved it! Powerful message and original story. Writing letters to Dr. King and questioning what he would do in certain situations was brilliant.

The book starts to pick up in the later chapters, but once it does, it’s hard to put down.

Loved the positive messages from this book. These are messages I will confide in for the rest of my life. However, the book was too repetitive. Every paragraph seemed to have said the same thing over and over again.
