It predates the maze runner series and the divergent series. And while they each have their own thing going with the overall theme being of post apocalyptic teen drama, The hunger games was the best by and far in my opinion.

Dont listen to the critics on this one. Because the movie is pretty great. Its become obvious to me after reading most of the critics reviews though, that their idea of being a movie critic is taking their egos on a stroll, while everyone seems to allow them to pass themselves off as modern day Gene Siskels and Roger Eberts. They are far from it. Watch the movie for yourselves. If you've gotten this far in my own personal review, that shows enough interest in the movie that you should just watch it and decide for yourselves. Then, leave your own review so that other people like us, that come here to see what is said about the movie, have opinions on the movie like we do, that are based on how much we enjoyed or hated a movie and not because it's our job to make or break someones career by taking our egos on a stroll. Loved the movie. Great acting as always by James Franco and Zachary Quinto.

what a journey of a story. Beautifully acted and well worth the 121 award nominations it received. However, As someone who has spent my entire life as a care giver, I'm going to have to agree with Jane Hawkings synopsis of this movie because it was as much her story as it was Stevens. That the producers and directors truly didnt delve into how incredibly difficult her life was while taking care of 3 children, as well as her disabled husband, was really disappointing to me. The movie producers, (according to an interview I read that was done with Jane Hawking,) said to her that they decided not put that part of her life in the movie due to time constraints. I disagree. They could have gone without showing the tracheotomy scene and a couple of other scenes that did nothing but fill gaps in the movie and instead, gone with a three minute window into the daily struggle of what being a wife, caregiver, secretary, etc , that was Jane's life, as Jane Hawking had suggested. This script was nearly too carefully written for the movie. and while it's based on Jane's book, they should have been more loyal to the truth of Steven and Janes life than the hollywood glam.
