Rarely have I read something that brought me to such a state of solidarity with the characters. My emotions mirrored theirs up to the last page. This was one of the most powerful books I've ever read. Amazing. And oh my goodness now I am coming back to edit my review because I cannot believe the anger some people have directed toward this book and its author. I think all of you need to keep in mind that, while a realistic fiction for sure, it is fiction. The author did an incredible amount of research obviously, but she is at liberty as the author to make up the story as she imagines it. If it were nonfiction, you could definitely take issue but I think you need to accept it for what it is, which is a remarkable piece of literature.
