Paper Mario: Color Splash retains most of Sticker Star's most HATED elements: The same resource management battle system (except more monotonous), an awful world map, real world items required to defeat a boss, lack of direction when it comes to your next tasks, making the game impossible to play without a guide, the same uninspired cast of generic characters, and lackluster and forgettable plot. The best things about this game are the visuals, humor, and music. While it is an improvement over Sticker Star, it's still very mediocre.
