There are plenty of 5 star reviews for this, so I'm not explaining why it's good. I just read some of the one-star reviews and I'm honestly flabbergasted at how stupid some people can be. First off, this is an ANIME. It's not a cartoon- there's a huge difference. Secondly, you can't poorly rate the movie just because you took your four-year-old daughter to watch it and now she's traumatised. It's literally rated R. If your child is traumatised, it's your own fault for not being cautious. And don't justify your disappointment by saying, 'It's a cartoon!!!!'. It's not a cartoon. And also, not all cartoons are kid-friendly, you should know that. SO, in conclusion, this one is great, you should totally watch it, and if you can't handle blood and gore, then definitely don't take your kids to watch it! Smh.

I LOVE THIS BOOK SERIES!!! Cassandra Clare has managed to create yet another world that I would love to live in. The characters are memorable and have great personalities- which is what drew me into the series in the first place. Magnus Bane, let me just say, is the best person to have walked the fictional earth. Not only are the characters interesting, the book is loaded with crazy plot twists that will make your toes curl. On top of all that, Cassie Clare has the most wonderful sense of humour. From jace's sarcastic one liners to Simon's adorable nerd jokes, the mortal instruments is packed with these entertaining moments that you don't wanna miss. Honestly, if that doesn't convince you to get up and go read the series right away then I don't know what will. I highly recommend you to read this series, because if you don't, you're definitely missing out on something. Oh and lastly, this book wasn't intended to be a children's book, so if you're a parent, then I would suggest that you let your child read this only if he/she is above 13. There can be some graphic scenes or inappropriate language and suggestive content. And SOME sexual scenes as well. Hope this helps! (To all the lazy ones that didn't want to read the whole thing- I'm just saying that the book is awesome and you should read it if you're above 13). Final point that I forgot to mention: There are some haters out there and I understand their predicament- the books contain some pretty random and uneccesary romance scenes like--SPOILER ALERT-- the clace cave scene in CoHf, which I just ignored because it makes me cringe. I mean, a cave out of all the places they could have gone? That too in THE DEMON REALMS! How Jace anticipated that is one of the many mysteries that we will never find the answer to.
