Trina Robbins

I found it really depressing and couldn't continue watching it. These people are so repressed, the men's shirts are dingy, you can almost smell them, the women are drab and miserable. I am Jewish and identify as a Jew but not religious, never religious, and if I had even been just a little bit tempted to become religious, just watching Shtisel would make me change my mind. Feh!

This is the slowest movie I have ever seen! The characters stand around being static and speaking in mannered tones. I have no idea what the director was thinking, but I can say that I have never seen a worse movie.
