I have listened to on audiobook the entire Gabriel Allon series and have given 5 star reviews to all but this was the most disappointing excuse for a book in this Genre that i ever tried to listen too. It Started with a new Narrator and though i was disappointed I put that aside though its always a challenge listening to different voices for a character so familiar by now.. But in the early chapters the Trump derangement was surfacing. I ignored that Allon who is a clandestine legend was not the least bit skeptical about the Pandemic Covid Hoax . But the political BS finally got to me with 3 hrs left.. Trying to narrate Trump as a Tyrant and clueless and unpopular was just to far to go. for the first time i quit listening to this series and for me Gabriel is retired. permanently. way to destroy a legend. History will reveal because time always does the complete Error in all the narrative of this back story. that's the risk. But I am surprised that the Author is so Blind to a large part his readerships ideology. In close I now believe that George Guidall opted out of narrating this book because he saw the same thing I did.
