Shel Nagashima

The style in the movie is definitely different and is a mix of video also being read to. I loved listening to stories, especially Dahl's stories as a child, then reading them as I grew older and this is a wonderful presentation of one of his very good books. It brings the book to life and is both interesting and very cleverly done. I can see how this would not appeal to many who are looking for all the glitz and thrills of typical mainstream movies, but it was enjoyable, captivating, and entertaining.

Lots of action, great costumes and sets, witty exchanges in parts between actors that provided a little bit of comic relief. It was exciting, scary, and kept you cheering inside for the "good guys". Lots of little twists and turn to keep it interesting until the end. The inclusion of more modern music made it both dark but set the moood perfectly. Highly recommend this amazing movie.
