Brilliantly funny satire. John Oliver is smart, edgy and not afraid to take on difficult topics. And still make them funny.

Incredibly well crafted, characters have complex motivations and, most importantly, the songs are fantastic and catchy. Yes, the movie grossed a billion dollars on the strength of "Let It Go" but it wouldn't have the lasting appeal if it were one dimensional.

Just watched it. If you are even a casual fan of Queen, the movie is worth it just to hear all the great music and see the actors perform the songs. Supposedly it isn't very accurate and fudges when things happen for drama's sake. Nevertheless, an entertaining movie.

Well acted and skillfully directed with good action and set pieces. Robert Patterson does a fine job in his take on Batman. Yet for all of the movie's good points I found myself much less invested in this version as in previous movies. The film, although only 30 minutes longer than The Dark Knight, seemed excessively long and the plot convoluted. There seemed to be just too much going on that didn't hold my attention and I found myself bored. In most other installments the time flew by but this movie dragged on far past it's three hour running time. Probably worth watching once for Batman fans but I'll give repeated viewings a miss.

An 80's classic, a movie made well before our current pc-culture climate. As such there is a good amount of swearing, (which I find realistic for chidren of that age), dick/sex jokes, and some bullying. Those easily offended may not enjoy it as much as the thicker skinned and older viewers looking back on fond memories of this movie like I did. You've been warned. The jokes, although crude and un-pc, are still funny, the acting is well done from these future stars including Sean Aston, Josh Brolin, and Joey Joe Pantoliano, the set pieces still hold up well and the overall action, although at times unrealistic, is fast paced and is still thrilling. There is a great heart/message to the movie that these underdogs can work together and save their families. The value of friendship, family, loyalty and perseverance are also running themes. Highly recommended for mature children (10+ otherwise), especially pirate lovers, and their parents. Unlike many children's movies of today, this movie won't bore you.
