The movie is cute and light. It has a nice story and concept however the acting seemed really fake and unrealistic. Both actors were australiens and the American accent sounded really off honestly they should have just kept with the Australian accents. The blue/green screen was so bad it was so easy to tell it was fake. I couldn’t understand when they arrived to the airport how they were not excited or crying in any sort of way! I mean it’s been 3 months and the only thing Em does is smile at her family. It doesn’t make sense honestly. If that were me I’d be crying and running as fast as I can to see my family. Ems family as well showed no emotion toward their disappearance, they weren’t crying or anything! They were just upset. Like your daughter is missing on an island and possibly dead! Are you not gonna be screaming and crying on the floor!!!. And last but not least, the fact that they become strangers once they arrive! Like come on you can’t spend 3 months on an island with someone and then when your rescued it’s as if you’ve never spoken. Anyways it wasn’t that bad a movie there was just a lot of gaps which needed to be filled! Overall it’s a light cute concept and I would watch if your the type of person to just enjoy instead of pick out everything thats wrong 😂.
