I was cool with 13 reasons why even with Hannah’s suicide screen and rape (Jessica’s included) screen (in retrospect I was not mature enough to even understand those scenes fully that’s why they didn’t faze me). When we got to season 2 I was a little older and I watched Tyler be assaulted I was disgusted and disappointed that someone thought this was ok to write and create. I haven’t been able to watch it since then and I probably won’t watch it for a long time. This show is the top example of Hollywood glorifying suicide, assault, rape and many other disgusting actions and experiences. Not to mention that it’s targeted for teens (despite the MA warning) we know that it is since the show was mainly about a group of teens. Teen movies and tv shows are not made for grown adults because thats not where the cult is. They will simp for all these disgusting characters and fantasize them. At the end of the day it’s not even a bit educational as some might say it is.
