An extremely gripping read, The Silent Patient pulled me out of my year-long reading block and I'm so grateful for it. The story gets decently intriguing right off the bat, the background is set pretty soon and the double POV in the form of simultaneous narration from both therapist and patient is a classic but interesting addition. The brilliance, however, lies in the availability of suspects and, at the same time, the scarcity kg them; how none of them seem entirely plausible. The twist towards the end has easily made my list for favorite plot twists in fiction of all time, and the ease with which its explained soon after is something I really appreciated. An easy 5/5, highly recommend.
