I have grown up practically surrounded by 80s music. Journey, Def Leppard, Steely Dan, Santana, Bon Jovi are just SOME of the artists.
It wasn’t until quarantine when my dad began to play “Who’s Crying Now,” and “Ask The Lonely” on repeat. After hearing them being played, I began to fall in love with those songs, eventually the Escape and Frontiers albums, and then practically Journey’s entire discography.
Steve Perry truly has a voice unlike any other. This album proves that even though he is older than he was in some of my all-time favorite albums like Raised on Radio, Perry still has talent that is beyond some of today’s new and coming artists.
I hope one day I am lucky enough to see 'The Voice’ himself live. This album alone makes me want to cry . . . imagine seeing it live . . holy cow. A girl can dream, right?
