This is listed here as a "Jackson 5" album.. BUT thats wrong (just look on the album cover for proof).. The Jackson 5 was their name with Motown.. its not the same. The Jackson's went to Motown with the name, but Motown had that name on contract.. so when the Jacksons left Motown.. they could not even us their own group name.. Thus they were forced to change it to "The Jacksons". They no longer had Jermaine with them (he stayed at Motown).
This was The Jacksons FIRST album where they wrote & produced the total package. Something they were not allowed to do at Motown. It blew up with the Single "Shake Your Body Down (to the ground)". The title song "Destiny" is one of my favorites on here, along with "You Push Me Away". This album is the bomb. & i think that this was when the Jacksons moved into their PRIME. Right after this Michael dropped his album "Off The Wall" & with that gem, the Jacksons owned the thrown
