Loved this movie. The acting was shockingly good, and at no point did this feel like a low budget film. The backstory was moving, the main bad guy was a charismatic villain I enjoyed watching, and the main character was an absolute badass who commanded your attention whenever she was on screen. If this is the caliber of film The Daily Wire is going to be making, I'm on board for it all. As someone whose tears would have been collected in Ben Shapiro's mug just a scant few years ago, I'm now solidly in the center politically and can enjoy things that were made to be enjoyed without being bothered by political incorrectness. The "trigger warning" line cracked me up.
Something else I loved about this film: there was a TON of positive POC representation in this film, and it never once felt forced or like they were trying to send a message by putting them in "POC roles". Everybody just did their thing and race was never even mentioned. Somehow, black, Latino, and Hispanic people were able to appear without having lines about how much of a struggle their lives have been, how privileged everyone else is, or how much racism they face. Instead of being diminished by having their identity be reduced to their race, they were allowed to just be people. It's refreshing to have the focus be on someone's humanity rather than their physical characteristics, something the left has gotten really bad about.
I recommend this film to anyone, but fair warning, if you go in deciding ahead of time you're going to hate it, you're probably going to hate it. But enough with the 1-star reviews from people who haven't even watched the dang movie. Watch the dang movie first.
