Jurassic World Rebirth โ One Star for Scarlett, the Rest Goes Extinct
Jurassic World Rebirth is a roaring failure that crashes harder than a clumsy T-Rex in a glass museum. Despite the franchise's legendary roots, this latest entry feels like an overproduced, underwritten cash grab with zero sense of wonder or direction.
Letโs get one thing straightโScarlett Johansson is the only bright spot in this otherwise disastrous film. She brings genuine depth and charisma to a role that barely deserves her talent. Every scene sheโs in feels like it belongs to a better movie. Unfortunately, no amount of acting brilliance can save a script this hollow.
And then thereโs the D-Rexโฆ oh boy. Marketed as the filmโs ultimate threat, this genetically modified dino is nothing but a lazy, uninspired creation that symbolizes everything wrong with the film. It's over-designed, underwhelming in action, and completely lacks the terrifying presence that earlier creatures like the original raptors or T-Rex had. Instead of being menacing, the D-Rex feels like a video game boss thrown into a film with no buildup or logic.
The plot is a chaotic, illogical mess. The dialogue is either cringe-worthy or laughably self-serious. Supporting cast members are either bland or irritating, and not a single character arc feels earned or interesting. Even the CGIโsupposedly a Jurassic trademarkโranges from mediocre to shockingly bad in places.
In short, Jurassic World Rebirth is a waste of time, talent, and what little goodwill this franchise had left. Scarlett Johansson deserved better. And so did we.
