Imma put this out there. I read the one star reviews and it’s just a bunch of gringos who never experienced generational trauma in a latino household. This movie is amazing. NOTHING TO DO WITH WITCHCRAFT. (SPOILERS) Just a miracle given to bless a family with no home and now given one. The characters and how their roles were played in a latino household were so relatable. Not gonna lie, the plot was rushed but other than that, it’s a relatable movie for the latino/hispanic community. I can’t thank Lin Manuel Miranda enough for making such an amazing movie. You can tell he researched the Colombian culture. As a Colombian and Venezuelan, I was very proud of how the music, food, clothing and culture was depicted in the movie. 5/5 stars for me :)
