This play on stage in Melbourne was amazing. However, there were some flaws. Her minor Granger was purposely cast as a non white actress. This did not work at all. I read that the author felt someone like this has the passion and heart to bring the role alive as Hermione. I don’t dispute the actress is good but you can not suddenly just cast a character that has been white through all Previous books, as a different colour on stage. Dumbledore was a Chinese actor ! People Notice these things and don’t want changes to characters . The special effects were amazing and you just don’t want the story to end. It is unfair to add a okay version to the end of what has been a film adaptation of the books. This book written specifically as a play, needs to be made into a film. It would be an amazing culmination of all the other movies . However , for those who want to know if the play is worth seeing in a theatre, it is.
