Tanaya Rogers

I am not sure why this is titled Selena. The actors did an okay job with the script. It seemed very low budget and sometimes as if they were reading directly from the script with no emotion or connection. Her wigs, terrible. Not much dancing and she loved to dance. The way they portrayed Selena as if she was obsessed about the way she looked, her hair, her clothes, & not so much her fans. We learned a lot about the band which is great, but maybe the title should have been Selena y Los Dinos. I know that the family and Chris have had a rocky relationship. I cannot imagine my wife's family making a movie about her, our relationship & not allowing me to give any input. They him seem as if he stressed her out about being in a relationship with him. Could be false, could be true, but only the two of them know what transpired between them. While everyone else was allowed to start a dating life she couldn't or Chris didn't go about it the "right" way by asking her father first. That's is my perception. Which maybe was how her dad ran the family, but it made me sad for her. Her dad was very and still is controlling of her poor soul. Awful season ending. I pray one day their souls are set free. Maybe the next "remake" will have more energy or connection. This seemed very rushed. I hope the new fans do more research to keep her story as beautiful as she is.
