Viewers be aware that this title is misleading, as the "beasts" take a backseat to the more prevalent and sinister theme of evil wrought from child abuse. What could have been a wonderful movie about fantastical beasts - and Newt - from the creative prowess of J.K. Rowling (the attention to detail is incredible in this movie) became instead a dark and disturbing cautionary tale for adults about the power of evil.
