I just finished watching this movie and I loved it. First the bad: It has plot, maybe too much plot. So much is going on with revenge and lust and a somewhat icky subplot. Plus a couple of subplots with the younger sister... Too much is happening and the movie isn’t able to carry it And the underlying theme of the movie, a young girls “Becoming” gets lost Now the good: I loved the colors and filters that were used... I loved the angles and camera movement. It is very visual, which is good for a movie I also like the music choices, which were strange, but added to the overall ambiance And now my favorite - near the end... There is an argument between two characters that transcends the rest of the movie. The choppy editing, the camera angles, the loud music, the dialog... Ryoki explaining his motivations and feelings while Hatsumi gives a Girl Power Speech that I loved. Both of them intertwining their thoughts with each other... I rewatched this scene twice and each time I found another layer to enjoy This is not a great movie, but it is one I enjoyed and I will definitely rewatch my favorite scene again
