All in all I enjoyed the book. It gave me a glimpse of other lives so different to my own. But I found I was bracing myself for the pull of my heartstrings on the turn of every page. Jeez, how much bad luck can a person endure!
At the end of the day Leila was fortunate to have found true love and friendship in her life. Istanbul might have taken her life but the love she left behind lives on.
