Frankly, it’s just not good enough. But good enough for your kids to watch. The animation is the least of its problems which was something everyone kept warning me about before watching it, but the main characters look great, everyone else looks straight to dvd. The villain doesn’t make sense, he could just said to Asha, “I’ll think about it”, the goat speaking is not needed, the college brochure of friends is pandering at its finest, the star is literally a luma, the songs are good but not memorable. Ultimately there is a lot of ok things here, but it’s boring, and rather than special it’s Disney animators throwing spaghetti at the wall from all their tropes.

The animation is cool. But it just feels like I am watching a Mr Universe trailer. The characters are unlikeable, all of them, all the action is in slow motion every single time it happens. The gore is actually well done but superficial since there is no tension between characters. Essentially, if you like seeing a super basic anime story and overhyped action, this would do.
