So confused by the negative reviews about the middle episodes being boring. I was on my edge of my seat the entire time. Amanda Seyfried has such range that I’m very impressed. Even though this was filmed in Brooklyn, I felt like they did their best to create Philly culture throughout the show. 10/10

I’m confused by all the negative reviews. I do understand however, that the book probably was even better than the show. The storyline was amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed the complexity of the political strife and mom’s past. It was hard to watch sometimes at how she would continuously push her daughter away when she just wanted her mother’s love. The younger actress who plays Jane vs her as an adult do seem to be VASTLY different (regardless of the witness protection). Like watching two different characters but overall, such a good watch.

I thoroughly enjoyed this show. The portrayal of the struggle with addiction is raw and we are taken on a roller coaster ride with the main character. I applaud the producers and writers for creating a show with a lesbian lead, it’s utterly refreshing. Monica Raymund is amazing in this, along with Shane Harper.

This movie was filmed beautifully and the acting actually wasn’t bad. The storyline however, was awful. No climax whatsoever and once the movie finished I was left thinking: that’s it? I would recommend selecting a different film to waste 1 hour and 20 minutes on.
