If I wanted to play a timed based fighting game, I'd play final fantasy. Garbage compared to the other smash bros. Every move and decision was instant in those. In ultimate, you have to wait until your character is done falling, getting his footing, standing, calling his mother, apologizing to his ex, filing in his taxes, calling his landlord about the loud neighbors, writing his will, walking his dog before you can shield against your enemies very predictable move. If I wanted to play chess, I'd play chess. I hope they go back to how smash bros was before. Quantity over quality usually is never a good.

A lackluster version of the originals. Outside of the cups, there isn't much to offer. Great party game with the friends, but with the small roster, rng goalie, slight input delay, and sporadic team swapping, it gets boring quick. Hopefully Nintendo will add more content to keep this game alive in the future. Only can recommend if your a huge fan of the prior games, since it is definitely the weaker of the three.

If you're someone who is a completionist, and enjoy doing everything the first run through on the old Crash games, you'll lose your mind during this title. With the terrible footing like the first Crash Bandicoot, trying to get every box/secret is a nightmare. Feel like I'll have to replay the game just so I have the maps memorized to 100% a level. Spend a good 30mins to an hour trying to find everything on a single stage, just gets tedious and becomes a chore with how difficult some of maps can be. At this point, currently just trying to speed run through the game so I can see how the story unfolds. The game looks beautiful, and the story isn't too bad. Boss fights are good, and would recommend to any lovers of the past Crash games. Just don't try to fully complete every level first play through, otherwise you'll want to pull your teeth out halfway through.
