In addition to being arguably the best action movie ever made, Heat is a cinematic masterpiece. Michael Mann made history with the bank shootout scene but his tour de force was getting the best, the absolute best out of his cast. Everyone will mention the epic face off between DeNiro and Pacino but beyond that, is there any role, no matter how small it is, that was wasn’t acted to perfection? This is cinematic Mount Everest in terms of acting and directing. In other words : bravo!
