I like the remake of Mulan. Growing up watching the 2 animated movies to watching this new remake of Mulan, the new movie has matured a lot in a good way. I feel like the movie grew up with me. I understand why Mushu and the other spiritual characters are there...it's just doesn't look realistic but it's nice to have the Phoenix bird as her guide along the way. The message is still there. Be who you are, doesn't matter if you're girl. You don't have to pretend to be someone else.
