An existentialist rollercoaster.
An existentialist claymation film about so many things; loss, grieve, loneliness, religious bigotry and hypocrisy, parenting, love and finding our own way of living through future. Dark, sad, realistic; story-wise, melancholic, atmospheric, deep, funny, existentialist, humanistic, professional, insightful, inspiring & moving.
Not family-friendly; due to sexual content, nudity and some violent content
Being critical of religion to the point of mocking it was great.
There were a few grotesque and disgusting scenes in it, like tooth thing. It was a bit misanthropic and too dark in some parts of it. Character designs were another issue, I would create the characters differently and not like this, they were too ugly.
These kind of films have so much to offer and I'm sure it can inspire so many people.
It was an LGBTQ+-related film just because of the Gilbert's sexual orientation.
Very good direction. Very good screenplay. Great production. Very good acting. Very good edits. Great film score. Great audio mixing/editing. Very good cinematography. Dark but finally positive tone. Well-paced. Well-balanced.
I really liked it.
