I don’t like to be mean but someone else commented the following, and I just simply could not have said it better myself. I waited and waited and waited and waited for a plot to happen, apart of the book mocked a lot of what we have gone through with COVID and I do have to say much of the apocalyptic stuff was pretty accurate. There were a lot of teasers in each chapter that were like “and this would be the last day this would ever be like this.” And then nothing would happen...
The other comment I approve of: Though the concept can sound inviting, it gets old really quick. I had to read this for English Studies, and all I can say that nothing happens, the main character is so bland and dull that she manages to make the apocalypse seem boring. There's no climax, it stays the same all the way and ends confusing and unsatisfying. I'm no critic but I can tell you that if your looking for something to help you sleep at night and don't mind painfully long and descriptive chapters that point out every detail, read this book. I had no choice to read this but you do, go read Maze Runner and don't even bother with this mess
