Critics hate this movie for a number of reasons, but they aren't very good ones. Solid 7.5/10. It's funny, action packed, and makes you care about a thing that wants to take over earth. One complaint about this movie is that it "can't decide whether it wants to be a comedy, action, or adventure film," which is just nonsense. Films in general can absolutely have multiple genres or tones. I feel that it works in Venom's favor. I also like Sony's new take on Venom as the alien. He's not just an alien or a suit, he's a character. Eddie works well and is also a good character.
