Favorite game for the last 4 or 5 years, I play about 10 hours a week using the Nintendo Switch. It handles Rocket League pretty well with a decent internet connection. But it would be a much better experience with Steam on a PC or even an XBox or PlayStation console. “Free to play” was introduced when Epic Games took over Psyonix’s control of the game. That was good for the game ultimately, but it brought in a lot of toxic / fragile players who get angry and turn on the team when accidentally bumped or perceive to be insulted in chat. That seems to have settled down recently. Bumping is part of the game... bumping your own team members should be avoided.. but it happens. Demos are also an important part of the game. Swooping in and demolishing a goalie right before your teammate slams one in is much more gratifying than even scoring a goal. There are multiple Tournaments a day, a growing list of training simulators and variations of the game like Hoops.. my personal favorite variant. It’s an amazing game.. other than a few iPhone games it’s really the only video game I play. Would recommend to anyone. Once you learn to fly you’ll be addicted... like I.
