I found this book - proposed as a Book Club choice for my group - to be definitely grim and sad. Marketed as a book about women’s desire and allegedly researched for 8 years or so - I wondered why a story of molestation was included in book about desire. I really had thought the book would add to the #MeToo revelations - but no it did not. There is a lot of blame, little universal truth about desire and certainly there is no cultural diversity in the three stories included in this book. I was sorry to have spent an Amazon Audible credit to “read” this book.
