Simply put, Halloween 2018 just wasn't scary. Michael Myers was supposed to be The Boogeyman. In this new incarnation he's a simple run-of-the-mill mass murderer with all of the scariness of a puppy dog. There was maybe one suspenseful scene throughout the movie with a plot that was ridiculous at best. The one positive thing I can applaud is yet another superb effort by Jamie Lee Curtis as a traumatized Laurie Strode.
